Aluminum hydroxide is found in many antacids that list aluminum as an ingredient. It is best to avoid antacids that list aluminum as an ingredient. Not only can aluminum be constipating, but in large doses it is toxic. Even though it is probably safe when used occasionally at the recommended dosage, it is not in your best interest.
