Pregnant women are encouraged not to have piercings done on the bellybutton, nipples or genitalia. If you have a completely healed piercing, comfort is the best course. If your piercings become uncomfortable you may want to take it out and replace it with clean fishing line. You should remove your body piercing if it never healed properly, your hole is weepy, pussy, inflamed or irritated, and your nipple piercings if you are breastfeeding because they are a choking hazard. Always talk to your physician about the risks related to body piercings during pregnancy. Updated: 02.09.12
