Electrolysis is a technique used to remove unwanted hair by using high frequency or electricity to zap hair at the root. It is recommended to avoid electrolysis during pregnancy because there have been no studies done to evaluate the safety for pregnant mothers. If you chose to do electrolysis, the breasts should be avoided in the last trimester and when breastfeeding. During the final weeks of pregnancy, it is highly recommended not to use electrolysis on the abdomen because it is very sensitive and would be uncomfortable to the pregnant mother.
