Consumption of marijuana while pregnant is not considered to be safe, and is harmful to the developing unborn baby. Marijuana does cross the placenta to the unborn baby. Marijuana contains toxins that prohibit your baby from getting the proper supply of oxygen needed to grow. Smoking marijuana while pregnancy can increase the chance of miscarriage, premature births, low birth-weight, developmental delays, and behavioral and learning problems.
