Even though the names organic and natural sounds healthier, almost all toxins used in pesticides/insecticides are compounds found naturally in plants. All chemicals, including natural or organic chemicals, have the potential to cause harm if not properly handled. Be sure to read all warning labels on pesticides and insecticides before handling. Call your poison center at (800) 222-1222 immediately if a pesticide comes in contact with your skin, is inhaled, or is swallowed. Try to have the pesticide container with you when you call.
