Sun tanning poses the danger of ultraviolet radiation, which does cause skin cancer. Lying in the sun will raise your body temperature to a level that is hazardous to your baby particularly during the first trimester. Lying on your back for too can restrict blood flow to your heart as well as to your baby. Sun tanning is not recommended during pregnancy.
Check with your physician to discuss the risks of using sun tanning during your pregnancy.
