An increase in sex hormones known as androgens causes pregnancy-induced hair growth that usually starts during the first trimester. Waxing is considered a safe option to getting rid of unwanted hair. However, you may find that your skin reacts differently to waxing while pregnant. If you find that your skin is more sensitive, use a sooth antiseptic lotion before and after waxing to decrease the burning or stinging sensation. It is always in your best interest to check with your physician before waxing while pregnant. Your physician may have specific reasons why waxing is not recommended for usage during your pregnancy.
