Amoxicillin

Amoxicillin is penicillin-type antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. The Food and Drug Administration has labeled amoxicillin as a Category B for safety during pregnancy. This means that studies in pregnant women have not shown an increase in risk to the fetus. However, you should consult with your doctor, dentist, or health care provider about the possible risks and benefits of using amoxicillin.
